About Mercy Miles

For over 25 years, our organization’s mission has been: “Coordinating free air transportation for children and adults with medical or compelling humanitarian needs.”

What We Do

Mercy Flight™ Southeast is an IRS 501(c)(3) organization of more than 850 volunteer pilots who utilize their own aircraft, fuel and time to provide free air transportation to medical facilities for citizens who are financially distressed or otherwise unable to travel on public transportation. MFSE™ also coordinates missions to fly organ transplant candidates, people involved in clinical trials, chemotherapy or other repetitive treatment, victims of abuse seeking relocation, families receiving help from Ronald McDonald Houses, Shriners Hospitals and many other charities, disabled or sick children to special summer camp programs, and for many other humanitarian reasons. Mercy Flight Southeast and its group of all volunteer pilots fly over 1,500 mission per year.

Who We Serve

We serve patients in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, and Florida. We are a division of Air Charity Network™, the National volunteer pilot organization.

What Your Donation Does

By adopting part, or all of a mission, you are supporting Mercy Flight Southeast in its mission to coordinate these badly need flights. Our office in Leesburg Florida receives inbound calls from those in need, and coordinates between the patient (or other person in need) and the pilot and aircraft. The organizations administrative costs are funded by donations from individuals, companies, and philanthropic organizations. We receive no funding from any government entities.

How it Works

Mercy Miles are $1 per mile to adopt. You may adopt all of these miles, or just some of them (with a minimum of 5 miles, please). You may adopt as often, or as infrequently as you’d like. We appreciate anything you can do. Your contributions will be kept as confidential as your user name. Your contribution will help coordinate free air transportation for children and adults with medical or compelling humanitarian needs. We are a very efficient organization. For every dollar of direct public support, we return about 3 dollars of service back to the community!
