Volunteer as an Earth Angel (Driver)

Being an Earth Angel is a simple way to help people in need! Mercy Flight Southeast arranges transportation for medical care, special needs camps, and other essential services- but the volunteer opportunities don’t just end with air travel. Many people cannot reach needed care because they cannot afford the cost of renting a car or taxi service. Some of them are too ill to fly commercially or drive long distances on their own. There is a great need for drivers to join to help in this unique community service.

What can I do?Pilot Charles George flying passenger Chris N. and his daughter Christina.

We are looking for volunteers who are willing to drive our passengers from their medical facility to the airport or vice-versa. Mercy Flight mostly utilizes small, private airports, so pick-up and drop-off is easy.

What is expected of me?

We are grateful for your participation at whatever level works best for you. When, where and how often you drive are all up to you. We don’t expect a certain level of participation. Sign up online when you see a trip you’d like to make, and that’s all there is to it!
